Joanna’s interview broke me and gave me hope at the same time. I don’t have personal experience in with the military, but Joanna gave me a peek into her world by sharing her personal story of oppression and triumph. Today, she’s the Chief Operating Officer at The Veterans Directory, helping other veterans, especially women share their experiences, find community, and live among those they fought to serve for so long.
