Everybody needs work on how to talk about sex. There’s no place where we learn that. 

We don’t see effective sexual negotiations in film. 

Women in particular have a lot of pain about desire. 

A lot stress, anxiety, disappointment, frustration around desire. 

When people come home to themselves as sexual people, it changes everything. 

Women are socialized to do a lot of people pleasing and a lot of care taking of those around us. 

We really learn to think of sex and sexuality as physical, but it has all these other dimensions. 

We come from sexual energy… it’s a life force. 

We need to give young people the skills they need to have happy, healthy, and pleasurable sexual lives.

Girls are the ones who get short-changed when we don’t teach about pleasure. 

We talk about sexuality in deficits. We never talk about it giving us something.
