Over the last few years, Sean and I have used  spray paint as a medium for some fantastic projects. Some of our favorites have been the stencil work  pieces. I love how these come out. They have such an urban feel and I love the endless possibilities. It is really great to do art projects together. The whole creative process is really my favorite part. I get so excited when I have an idea and then to bounce that idea off of Sean creates such an anticipation for the final piece. There are so many “what if” and “how about” statements that go back and forth. We have so many ideas for future projects like this, but here are some that we have done already. I’m so proud of all of them. They take a ton of work and my fingers are always sore from cutting out the stencils, but it is totally worth it in the end.

The Flood Art Show at Cornerstone

We did these pieces for the art show and silent auction to benefit Cornerstone Christian Fellowship where we attend. The whole theme was “Flood” and it was our job to create art from our interpretation of the word.

Mom’s Christmas Presents- 2008

We did all of these pieces for my Mom for Christmas a few years ago. We did one of each of her kids. They hang in her house today and I love seeing them there when we visit.

Southwest Shakespeare Gala

We did this one of William to be auctioned off at the fundraiser event for SSC. I am so happy that we have the stencils for this one because I will be making another one for myself.

My Dining Room Wall Project

I had a bare wall and that just couldn’t be so I decided to take some old frames that I collected from thrift stores and paint them in the brightest colors I could find. The best part is half way into this project I saw some ornate frames that were bright colors selling in the store for $20. I walked by that displayed and laughed to myself. I spent a ton of time selecting some of my favorite pictures of family and friends to put in the frames. Some of my favorites are the old ones like my mom when she was 17 and the ones of Sean and his mom in a photo booth.

Hope you enjoyed all of these 🙂
